OPTank- semi-automated surgical machine. Has surgery presets, but a preset can also be created by recording the steps of a procedure. Access site: not necessarily a singular region. The exterior cover of an OPTank acts more like a membrane. If a surgeon needs to step-in, or perform an entire operation, they can shift and use the midbay to open up the membrane in order to perform work on the patient. Midbay: acts as an access site key, and signals the membrane of an OPTank to open to allow a surgeon access. The midbay doubles functionally as a sterilization component. As a surgeon pulls their arms/hands free of the access site, the midbay uses focused UV light as a preliminary means to disinfect gloves and surgical utensils. It is 10cm thick and directly adheres to the OPTank’s membrane. Prometheus/Bacta tank-esque.
